I’ve been noticed that the service book option has been removed by RIM….Still don’t know what is actually the purpose of doing that.You should not be panic on this situasion.Just do the Hard reset and service book automatyicly will be sent by default…

No matter if you’re on BIS or BES, the little effort of doing a hard reset (basically, taking the battery out..wait a few seconds…and then putting the battery back in) can solve most of your Blackberry problems.

Coz when you do a hard reset, the services books will be delivered to your devices.

Unless you have your GPRS or EDGE in lower case. This cannot be solved by making a hard reset. Instead, just re-register your Host Routing Table. If even this fails, check with your Telco to ensure that provisioning has been done for your sim card.

A BlackBerry smartphone with tethered modem over Bluetooth® capabilities can be used as an external modem to connect an Apple Macintosh computer to the Internet. To set up an Internet Protocol (IP) modem over Bluetooth on an Apple Macintosh computer, complete the following tasks:

Summary of Tasks

  1. Turn on the Discoverable option on the BlackBerry smartphone.
  2. Pair the BlackBerry smartphone to the Macintosh computer, and then configure it as a modem.

1 – Turn on the Discoverable option on the BlackBerry smartphone

Complete the following steps:

  1. On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options > Bluetooth.
  2. Display the menu and then click Options.
  3. Set the Discoverable field to Yes.
  4. Display the menu and then click Save.

2 – Pair the BlackBerry smartphone with the Macintosh computer and configure it as a modem

  1. Open System Preferences on the Macintosh computer and then select Bluetooth.
  2. Click the + button to open the Bluetooth Setup Assistant.
  3. Click Continue at the initial Welcome screen.
  4. In the Select Device Type screen, select Mobile Phone from the list, and then click Continue.
  5. In the Bluetooth Mobile Phone Setup screen, the Macintosh computer will now perform a search of Bluetooth devices within proximity (this may take a few moments). Once the Macintosh computer has completed the search for Bluetooth devices, highlight the BlackBerry smartphone from the list provided and then click Continue.
  6. The Macintosh computer will now gather information about the BlackBerry smartphone. Once this process completes, click Continue.
  7. A passkey should now be displayed on your Macintosh computer. At this time, your BlackBerry smartphone will display the following prompt: Enter numeric passkey for <Mac Name>. Type the passkey in the field provided.Note: there is a limited amount of time for this step — if necessary, click Continue and then try again.
  8. Upon successful entry of the passkey, a Pairing Complete message appears briefly on the BlackBerry smartphone. When prompted to Accept connection request from <Mac Name>, click Yes. Click Continue on the Macintosh computer.
  9. On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options > Bluetooth.
  10. Under Paired Devices highlight the connection to the mac, press the Menu button and select Device Properties.
  11. Select Trusted and toggle the setting to Yes.
  12. Press the Escape key and select Save.
  13. To access the Internet through your BlackBerry smartphone, you will need to provide information such as the user name, password, and access point name (APN). The values in these fields vary depending on your wireless service provider. To obtain this information, contact your wireless service provider.
  14. Make sure the Show Modem status in the menu bar option is selected, and then click Continue.
  15. Click Quit.
  16. Click the Modem icon on the top right of the menu bar (the icon looks like a mobile phone), and then select Connect Bluetooth.

  1. Send a personal identification number (PIN) message.
  2. Delete the service books from the BlackBerry device. For information about deleting service books.
  3. Perform a Hard Reset.
